ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday and delivered a letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping, expressing appreciation for the Prime Minister’s message on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
During the meeting, the Chinese envoy conveyed President Xi’s gratitude for the Prime Minister’s goodwill message, underscoring the enduring friendship and close strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.
Pakistan Reiterates Commitment to Deepening Bilateral Ties
Highlighting the continued positive momentum in Pakistan-China relations, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to further strengthening the longstanding All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership with China.
He emphasized that the relationship between the two countries remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and continues to grow across political, economic, strategic, and cultural dimensions.
Greater Focus on People-to-People and Parliamentary Exchanges
The Prime Minister underscored the importance of expanding people-to-people contacts and enhancing exchanges between the political parties and parliaments of both countries.
He noted that closer interaction among public representatives, institutions, and citizens would further reinforce the traditional bonds of friendship and mutual understanding that have long characterized Pakistan-China relations.
