Washington, D.C.: US President Donald Trump remained at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association reception after a shooting incident occurred nearby, according to the White House press pool traveling with the president.

“The pool is still at the Hilton hotel, which means the US president had not departed yet,” journalists accompanying the delegation reported.

According to Associated Press, neither President Trump nor Vice President JD Vance was harmed in the incident.

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
