MANAMA: Bahrain on Saturday strongly condemned what it described as Iranian drone attacks targeting its territory, reaffirming its full right to safeguard its sovereignty and national security, according to the state news agency.

The Bahraini government said it reserved the right to take all necessary measures to protect the kingdom and ensure the safety of its citizens and critical infrastructure.

Iran Claims Strikes on US-Linked Targets in the Region

Earlier, Iran announced that it had carried out military strikes against targets associated with US forces in the region, though it did not identify the locations or specify the nature of the installations that were targeted.

The Iranian authorities have not directly commented on Bahrain’s allegations, while regional tensions continue to rise following recent exchanges between Tehran and Washington.

Regional Security Concerns Intensify

The incident has heightened concerns over regional stability, with Gulf states closely monitoring developments amid fears that the escalating confrontation between Iran and the United States could further threaten security and maritime operations across the Middle East.
