In his keynote address, Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, Executive Director of COMSATS, emphasized the strategic significance of cybersecurity in today’s interconnected world.
“Cybersecurity is not just a technical field—it is a cornerstone of economic resilience and national security. As digital platforms become integral to governance, finance, and communication, it is imperative to build skilled human capital capable of protecting our digital ecosystems,” said Amb. Zakaria.
He further highlighted that this initiative would open new career opportunities, foster innovation, and contribute to securing the collective digital future of developing nations. Amb. Zakaria also acknowledged the strong support from COMSATS’ Focal Points, Centres of Excellence, and partner organizations, and applauded the successful collaboration with KhasTech Solutions.

He noted that the curriculum covers key domains such as Security Architecture, Asset Security, Software Development Security, and Risk Management—aligning fully with the globally recognized ISC2 certification standards.
“Our instructors are all ISC2-certified professionals, ensuring world-class training and mentorship for all participants,” Dr. Masood added.

Representatives of member states lauded the program as a timely and impactful initiative, praising COMSATS for investing in high-quality capacity-building efforts aimed at uplifting technical competencies and employment prospects across the developing world.
The CISSP Bootcamp is the first in a series of upcoming training programs offered under COMSATS’ new skill development platform. Future courses will cover critical areas such as Cybersecurity, Occupational Safety, Project Management, Risk & Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
This flagship initiative underscores COMSATS’ commitment to empowering member states through knowledge-sharing, human capital development, and South-South cooperation in science and technology.
