54th CTP Officers Visit Foreign Ministry to Explore Pakistan’s Diplomatic and Foreign Policy Framework

  • Delegation Briefed on Ministry’s Structure, Functioning and Pakistan’s Foreign Policy Priorities

ISLAMABAD: Probationary officers of the 54th Common Training Programme (CTP), currently undergoing training at the Civil Services Academy (CSA), visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of their Islamabad Study Tour.

The delegation included probationary officers representing all 12 occupational groups of Pakistan’s Civil Service, accompanied by faculty members from the Civil Services Academy.

Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan, Additional Foreign Secretary, welcomed the delegation and delivered a comprehensive briefing on the structure and functioning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the key contours and priorities of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

The briefing provided the probationary officers with an overview of the Ministry’s role in advancing Pakistan’s diplomatic interests and managing the country’s international relations.

The session was followed by an interactive discussion, during which the participants engaged in an exchange of views and raised questions on various aspects of Pakistan’s foreign policy and diplomatic engagement.

The visit formed part of the Islamabad Study Tour and provided the probationary officers with an opportunity to gain practical insight into the functioning of a key institution responsible for representing Pakistan’s interests abroad.
