UAE Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack on Israeli Consulate in Istanbul, Reaffirms Commitment to Diplomatic Security and Global Stability

Abu Dhabi – The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of the terrorist attack targeting the premises of the State of Israel Consulate in Istanbul, denouncing the incident in the strongest possible terms.

In an official statement, the Ministry underscored the UAE’s categorical rejection of such acts of violence, stressing the imperative of ensuring the protection and security of diplomatic missions and their personnel worldwide. It emphasized that safeguarding diplomatic premises is a fundamental obligation under international law, particularly the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which guarantees the inviolability of diplomatic facilities and the safety of diplomatic staff.

The Ministry further reiterated the UAE’s unwavering stance against terrorism and extremism in all its forms, describing the attack as a criminal act aimed at undermining peace and stability. It affirmed that such actions stand in clear violation of international norms and principles.

Reaffirming its principled position, the UAE called for collective international efforts to confront terrorism and to uphold the rule of law, ensuring a secure and stable global environment for all nations and their diplomatic representatives.
