  • Air Defenses Activated After Iran Launches New Aerial Assault Following Previous Strikes on Critical Infrastructure

KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait’s armed forces announced on Sunday that the country’s air defense systems were actively intercepting incoming Iranian missiles and drones, as the Gulf nation came under a renewed wave of aerial attacks amid escalating regional tensions.

The Kuwaiti Armed Forces said its air defense units were engaged in countering multiple hostile projectiles launched from Iran, following an earlier round of attacks that targeted key infrastructure, including a power plant and an oil facility.

In an official statement, the military said:

“Kuwaiti air defenses are currently confronting hostile missile and drone attacks following the sinful Iranian aggression.”

Air raid sirens sounded across Kuwait City as authorities responded to the developing security situation, with residents urged to remain vigilant while military forces worked to neutralize the incoming threats.

The latest attacks come just one day after Iranian missile barrages struck strategic facilities in Kuwait, marking a significant escalation in the regional conflict and raising fresh concerns over the security of Gulf states and critical energy infrastructure.

Kuwaiti authorities have not yet released information regarding casualties or the extent of any damage resulting from the latest wave of attacks. Officials said the situation remains under close monitoring as air defense operations continue.
