DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates’ National Guard has rescued 22 Asian nationals after a fire broke out aboard an oil tanker in the Arabian Gulf, demonstrating the rapid response capabilities of its Coast Guard Division.

The rescue operation was launched after the tanker’s crew reported a fire on board. Acting immediately, the Coast Guard Division activated its emergency response procedures, located the vessel and dispatched personnel to carry out the rescue.

All 22 crew members were successfully evacuated from the tanker and provided with the necessary first aid before being handed over to the relevant authorities. Officials reported that all those rescued were in stable condition.

The successful operation underscores the UAE National Guard’s preparedness to respond to maritime emergencies and its commitment to safeguarding human life at sea. The swift intervention helped bring the crew members to safety following the potentially dangerous incident.
