DOHA: Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan have agreed to immediately begin implementing their joint defence commitments, including the deployment of agreed military forces and capabilities to Saudi Arabia, according to a joint statement issued following an emergency meeting of the alliance’s committee.

The statement, published by the Saudi Ministry of Defence, said the committee had decided to begin the practical implementation of the three countries’ collective defence commitments and take the necessary measures to provide the agreed armed forces and military capabilities.

“The committee decided to immediately begin the practical implementation of joint defence commitments, take the necessary measures to provide the agreed-upon armed forces and military capabilities, and deploy them in the Kingdom as soon as possible,” the statement said.

The deployment will be undertaken in accordance with the national laws and regulations of the three member states, with the objective of enhancing combat readiness, strengthening military integration and reinforcing their collective capacity to respond to potential security threats.

The committee underscored the principle that the security of each member state constitutes an “integral part of the collective security of the three countries,” reaffirming their commitment to closer defence coordination and mutual security.

The decision marks a significant step toward translating the alliance’s joint defence commitments into practical military cooperation and strengthening strategic coordination among Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan.
