COAS Vows to Eradicate Terrorism, Honors Martyrs During Peshawar Visit
PESHAWAR – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited the Corps Headquarters Peshawar today, where he was given a comprehensive briefing on the current security situation and ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the region.
During his visit, the COAS attended the funeral prayers of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the recent Bannu Garrison incident and visited the injured soldiers at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Bannu. Paying rich tribute to the fallen heroes, Field Marshal Munir lauded the unwavering courage and resilience of Pakistan’s security forces, who continue to valiantly combat the Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij (mischief of the Kharijites).

Emphasizing the state’s zero-tolerance policy, he vowed that all facilitators, abettors, and perpetrators of terrorism will be pursued relentlessly and brought to justice—“without exception and at all costs.”
“The true face of terrorism in the region will be exposed to the world,” he asserted, sending a clear message to hostile elements.
