Budapest, Hungary – As part of an official visit to Hungary, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, and Minister of State in Charge of Regional Cooperation, Nelly Mukazayire, held high-level talks with Hon. Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The meeting served as an opportunity to review the existing Rwanda-Hungary partnership and identify new avenues for collaboration in key sectors such as education, trade, investment, and sports. Both parties expressed commitment to deepening bilateral relations and enhancing mutual economic growth.

Minister Szijjártó reaffirmed Hungary’s support for Rwanda’s development agenda, while the Rwandan delegation highlighted potential areas for Hungarian expertise and investment, particularly in vocational training, technology transfer, and agricultural innovation.

The discussions also explored cultural and sports exchanges, building on previous engagements between the two nations. This visit marks another step in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Rwanda and Hungary.
