Kyiv – Ukrainian officials have noted the continued absence of any substantiating evidence from the Russian Federation to support its recent allegations of an attack on the Russian presidential residence. Kyiv categorically denies that any such incident occurred.
The government of Ukraine expressed concern regarding statements issued by the United Arab Emirates, India, and Pakistan, which referenced the unverified Russian claims. Kyiv emphasizes the importance of grounding international diplomacy in verified facts.
This concern is heightened by the observation that the aforementioned states did not issue formal statements following the documented Russian missile strike on Ukraine’s government quarter in Kyiv on September 7, 2025—a verifiable attack on a sovereign state’s capital.
The Russian Federation has a documented pattern of employing disinformation, including false pretexts for aggression and the projection of its own intended actions onto other nations. As such, its unsubstantiated allegations warrant rigorous scrutiny and verification by the international community.
Ukraine believes that responding to demonstrably false narratives inadvertently lends credibility to Russian propaganda and disinformation campaigns, which are used to justify further escalation.
The Ukrainian government calls upon all responsible members of the international community to exercise caution and refrain from endorsing or amplifying unverified claims. Such restraint is critical to preserving the integrity of the ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a just and sustainable peace.
