LONDON : Negotiators from Qatar have arrived in Tehran to finalize a potential agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran, Reuters reported on Sunday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The proposed agreement, which seeks to bring an end to the more than three-month-long confrontation, could be signed as early as Sunday, according to the report.
US and Pakistan Leaders Anticipate Signing
Reuters said US and Pakistani leaders have expressed optimism that a framework agreement could be signed on Sunday, marking a possible breakthrough in efforts to resolve the crisis.
However, Tehran has raised doubts over the timing of the deal, while hardline protesters in Iran have voiced opposition to the proposed agreement.
