
New York — In a significant diplomatic engagement, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya on the sidelines of the International Conference on the Two-State Solution, held at the United Nations headquarters.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to further strengthen Pakistan–Kuwait bilateral relations, with a special emphasis on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, food security, and defense. Both sides recognized the immense potential for deeper economic collaboration and agreed to undertake high-level exchanges in the near future to bolster bilateral engagement.

In addition to regional ties, the two leaders emphasized the importance of close coordination at multilateral platforms, including the United Nations (UN) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to promote shared interests and support for the Muslim world.
The conversation also focused heavily on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Both ministers expressed deep concern over the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and the deteriorating situation on the ground. They stressed the urgent need for a just, comprehensive, and lasting resolution to the Palestinian question in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions.
Senator Dar and Minister Al-Yahya expressed optimism that the outcomes of the UN Conference would contribute meaningfully to the realization of the two-state solution, enabling peace, security, and dignity for the Palestinian people.
This meeting marks another step in Pakistan’s active diplomatic efforts to promote regional peace while deepening strategic ties with Gulf nations.
