Minister of Tourism Heads Kingdom’s Delegation to ITB Berlin, Inaugurates Saudi Pavilion

Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb headed the Kingdom’s delegation to the International Travel Trade Show in Berlin (ITB Berlin).
Al-Khateeb attended the opening ceremony of ITB Berlin, the world’s largest tourism trade fair, which attracts thousands of travel and tourism agencies from all over the world.
The minister inaugurated the Saudi pavilion at the fair and met with officials from large international companies and leaders from the World Tourism Organization and the World Travel and Tourism Council.
The Ministry of Tourism and a high-profile Saudi delegation from the tourism sector participated in the Kingdom’s pavilion at the exhibition, through which guests were introduced to the great potential that the Kingdom possesses in the field of tourism in terms of geographic and environmental diversity, archaeological sites, and modern tourist attractions.
Representing the Saudi Tourism Authority’s most prominent partners from the public and private sector, more than 45 agencies participated in the Saudi exhibition along with tour operators, hotels, tourism and travel companies, and airlines.
The Saudi pavilion showcased the successes achieved by the Kingdom in the field of tourism, most notably the arrival of more than 100 million tourists 2023 and topping the United Nations tourism list of the major countries in terms of growth in the number of tourists coming from abroad and leading the G20 member states in terms of the number of tourists from abroad.
