ISLAMABAD – Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin believes that it is necessary to deal more closely with the issue of decarbonization of transport.

“It is time to more closely address the issues of decarbonization of transport, the digital transformation of this sector, the introduction of modern technologies in order to reduce emissions, expand the use of clean and renewable energy sources. The relevant documents have been approved,” he said, speaking at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Mishustin added that Russia is also in favor of establishing cooperation in the field of civil aviation. “Our departments should discuss in detail how to move forward, taking into account the experience of existing mechanisms with the participation of the SCO member states,” he said.
