Israel detains one hundred people in Naser hospital, accused of “terrorist activity”

The Israeli Army announced this Saturday the arrest of 100 people accused of “terrorist activity” at the Gazan Naser hospital, in the southern city of Khan Yunis, which was attacked on Thursday after 25 days of siege.

“Army troops continue operating in the Gaza Strip. “Soldiers continue to operate in the Khan Yunis area and, so far, have detained 100 people suspected of terrorist activity at the Naser hospital,” a military statement said.

The military note adds that special forces continue to carry out a “precise and limited operation,” which began on Thursday, against Hamas within the medical complex and that “is based on information from the intelligence services” of the armed forces.

Likewise, he points out that the soldiers have killed an undetermined number of alleged “terrorists” in the surroundings of the hospital.

On the other hand, the text reports that in the town of Khan Yunis, military units carried out raids on “numerous targets”, in which they located “weapons, including grenades, explosive devices and AK-47 rifles”, and killed an air attack on two alleged enemy combatants who were approaching the troops on motorcycles.

Death of three other alleged “terrorists”

The note also speaks of the death of three other alleged “terrorists” who were heading to a place to launch rockets and of a “terrorist cell” that was identified, also in Khan Yunis.

In the center of the Strip, the Army also claims to have killed “several terrorists,” including two people who were presumably members of Hamas.

On Friday night, the Gaza Health Ministry, controlled by the Hamas group, reported that the Israeli Army was preventing a convoy with the help of the World Health Organization (WHO) from arriving at the Naser hospital.

There are two trucks, one of them loaded with fuel and the second with water and food, according to the source.

For her part, the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai al Kaila, denounced that the Naser hospital, its medical staff, patients and displaced people who have sought refuge in its facilities “are being subjected to a continuous crime of genocide by the army.” of Israeli occupation, which seeks to destroy it and liquidate those who are in it through bombings, displacements and arrests of medical personnel, cuts of medical services, electricity cuts, oxygen cuts and deaths of patients.

Al Kaila, quoted by the Palestinian news agency Wafa, added that the hospital is “the backbone of the provision of medical services in the Gaza Strip” and stressed that “stopping its work is a disaster in every sense of the word.” ”.

Health personnel detained

The Gaza ministry added that the Israeli Army detains a large number of medical personnel, patients and displaced people in the maternity building, “subjecting them to interrogations and harsh and inhumane conditions.”

In addition, according to Health, it is holding five doctors and 120 patients in the old center building, whom it has supposedly left without electricity, water, food or oxygen, which cannot be supplied to the patients because the generators have stopped. depending on your version.
