- Ukrainian President Meets Front-Line Troops, Presents State Awards and Reviews Military Operations in Eastern Ukraine
KYIV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Ukrainian troops serving in the Lyman sector in eastern Ukraine on Wednesday, where Kyiv’s forces are conducting operations amid continued fighting with Russian forces.
During the visit, Zelensky met with military personnel carrying out missions in the area and presented state awards to service members in recognition of their service.
The Ukrainian President also held discussions with the commander of the brigade operating in the sector, receiving an update on the unit’s ongoing missions and operational priorities.
Zelensky shared footage of the visit on social media showing him at a military command post, accompanied by Ukrainian servicemen.
The visit comes as the Lyman area remains an important sector of the front line in eastern Ukraine, with Ukrainian and Russian forces continuing military operations in the region.
