- Saudi-Led Coalition Says Strike Targeted Civilian Areas in Violation of International Humanitarian Law
ISLAMABAD: At least 11 civilians, including a woman and a four-year-old child, were injured after Yemen’s Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) launched an attack on Saudi Arabia’s Najran region, according to the spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition.
Coalition spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki said the attack took place on Thursday and resulted in injuries to seven Saudi nationals, including a woman and a four-year-old child who sustained second-degree burns.
The remaining injured included one Yemeni national, two Egyptian nationals, and one Pakistani expatriate residing in the Kingdom, Al-Maliki said in a statement posted on his official X account.
The coalition accused the Houthis of deliberately targeting civilian areas, describing the attack as a violation of international humanitarian law.
Saudi authorities condemned the strike and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting civilians and responding to threats against the Kingdom’s security.
