Abascal visits Netanyahu in Jerusalem: “Pedro Sánchez is not Spain”

The president of VOX Santiago Abascal (i) met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this Tuesday at the Prime Minister's Office, in Jerusalem.

The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, visited the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, this Tuesday in Jerusalem, for whom he expressed his support and warned him that “Pedro Sánchez is not Spain.”

According to Vox in a statement, both have met for more than an hour in the Prime Minister’s Office, who has described as “exemplary the defense of the State of Israel by Abascal”, who – according to the party – has already visited Israel twice during the war.

Abascal’s visit occurs at a time of maximum tension between both countries after the recognition this Tuesday of the Palestinian State by Spain.

This same Tuesday, the Israeli Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, accused the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, of being “complicit in inciting Jewish genocide” for recognizing the Palestinian State.

At the meeting, the president of Vox conveyed to Netanyahu his party’s support for the people of Israel, which it recognizes the right to defend itself.

“Pedro Sánchez is not Spain,” Abascal stated during the meeting about the president of the Spanish Government, who in his opinion is “covering his cases of political and economic corruption with the recognition of the Palestinian State,” just as he does with the president. from Argentina, Javier Milei.

According to the Vox statement, Abascal has maintained that “as long as there is a single hostage in the hands of Hamas and until the terrorist organization disappears, no one has the right to ask Israel to renounce its self-defense operations,” while praising his “firmness,” even in the face of “supposed allies who want to leave him defenseless against the terrorist offensive.”

Netanyahu “has regretted the immense intoxication that dominates the media coverage of the conflict in Western countries” and has expressed confidence that Abascal “will reverse the hostile measures of the Sánchez Government and the creation of the State of Palestine”, when he is president of Spain. .

Likewise, the Israeli Prime Minister has reiterated “his support for the sovereignty of the Spanish nation” and has downplayed “the importance of some isolated voice in his country’s opposition that demanded support for separatists in Spain as retaliation,” the statement states.

“Israel maintains and will maintain its aid and permanent commitment to counter-terrorism tasks in Europe and of course also in Spain,” concludes the statement from Vox, a party allied with Likud (Netanyahu’s formation) in the ECR Party.
