Rwanda, Ethiopia Envoys Discuss Stronger Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation

  • High Commissioner Fatou Harerimana meets Ambassador Omar Hussein Oba in Islamabad to exchange views on Ethiopia’s leadership and expanding African cooperation

ISLAMABAD: H.E. Fatou Harerimana, High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to Pakistan, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Dr. Omar Hussein Oba, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Pakistan, in Islamabad, where the two diplomats discussed developments in Ethiopia and opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between Rwanda and Ethiopia.

The meeting focused on the re-election of H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali as Prime Minister of Ethiopia, with the two envoys exchanging views on the significance of continued leadership and stability for Ethiopia’s development and its engagement with African partners.

The diplomats also explored avenues for enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including closer coordination on issues of mutual interest and strengthening partnerships within African and international forums.
