Islamabad, September 12 – Ambassador Albert P. Khorev held a meeting with Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate of Pakistan and Chairman of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen party. During the talks, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral and regional cooperation, with particular emphasis on humanitarian, scientific, educational, and cultural ties. Ambassador Khorev expressed hope for a peaceful resolution of all political differences and the achievement of a broad national consensus in the interests of the Pakistani people.

Mr. Abbas thanked Russia for its efforts to promote regional peace and advance interregional Eurasian cooperation projects.
