“White House envoy Steve Witkoff is on his way to Switzerland, where the first round of talks with Iran on a potential nuclear deal is expected to take place, a US official told me,” Ravid wrote on the social media platform X.
High-Level US Representation at Diplomatic Meeting
Another key US negotiator, Jared Kushner, has already arrived in Switzerland, according to Ravid.
The presence of senior American representatives highlights Washington’s efforts to explore diplomatic channels with Tehran amid ongoing tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program and broader regional security concerns.
The upcoming discussions are expected to focus on possible pathways toward a negotiated settlement, though officials have not disclosed further details about the agenda or timeline of the talks.
