Islamabad — Albert P. Khorev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan, held a high-level diplomatic meeting today with Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan.
The two envoys engaged in an in-depth discussion on pressing international issues, with particular focus on the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. Both diplomats affirmed that there exists no viable alternative to the peaceful resolution of all outstanding disputes, underscoring their shared commitment to dialogue and de-escalation. In this context, they expressed strong support for Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts aimed at fostering regional dialogue and reducing tensions.
Furthermore, Ambassador Khorev and Ambassador Al Zaabi conducted a detailed exchange of views on the situation surrounding Afghanistan. They highlighted the critical importance of continued measures to strengthen peace, security, and stability in the broader region, emphasizing the need for coordinated international engagement in support of Afghanistan’s long-term recovery and regional integration.
