- Anwar Gargash Highlights UAE’s Diplomatic Vision and Firm Defense of National Security
DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed its strong commitment to diplomacy, peaceful dialogue, and regional stability while underscoring its unwavering determination to safeguard national sovereignty and security.
Speaking on Wednesday, senior presidential advisor Anwar Gargash emphasized that the UAE continues to prioritize political solutions and constructive engagement as the most effective path toward lasting peace in the region.
His remarks came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing for high-level talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, with regional developments and the Iran conflict expected to feature prominently on the agenda.
Gargash stated that the UAE has consistently worked to avoid escalation and promote dialogue despite growing regional tensions. He stressed that the country remains committed to responsible diplomacy and cooperative regional relations.
“Arab-Iranian relations in the Gulf cannot be built on confrontations and conflicts, in a region whose peoples are bound by deep-rooted geographical and historical ties,” Gargash said in a statement posted on X.
At the same time, he affirmed that the UAE possesses both the capability and resolve to defend its sovereignty and protect its people against any threat. He noted that the nation would continue to respond with “strength, efficiency, and steadfastness” whenever its security is challenged.
The UAE’s balanced approach—combining diplomatic leadership with strong national defense—has further reinforced its position as a key pillar of stability, moderation, and responsible governance in the Middle East.
Officials maintain that the UAE’s priority remains the promotion of peace, de-escalation, and international cooperation to ensure long-term security and prosperity for the region.
