Islamabad – Referring to the presentation of country’s negotiation plan for a permanent cessation of the imposed war, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan said: Tehran is transparent in its positions and demands, and it depends on the United States that if it is sincerely seeking to resolve issues and breakthrough in negotiations, it must change its behavior.
“Reza Amiri Moghadam” said on Sunday during an interview with IRNA in Islamabad that Iran is transparent in protecting the interests of the nation and defending the homeland and does not allow any abuse by enemies, whether during the ceasefire or negotiations.
He added: The new negotiation plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran aimed at ending the aggressive and imposed U.S.-Zionist war was delivered to Pakistani friends in recent days as the main mediator in the current process, and they have also transferred it to the American side.
The Iranian ambassador emphasized: The main mediator in the current process between Iran and the United States is Pakistan, which is making worthy efforts to help resolve the war, and we appreciate these efforts of the Pakistani brothers.
He added: Pakistan is still the mediator, and Iran has no decision indicating a change in the mediator’s side, and apparently the American side also has a similar position, so the mediators’ actions to exchange messages are underway.
Amb. Amiri Moghadam stated: Everyone in the region and the world is waiting for the results of the talks and the diplomatic initiative, however, the international community and world public opinion are witnessing Iran’s logical and clear approach, but on the other side we are witnessing the unstable behavior of the American side.
The Iranian ambassador in Islamabad emphasized: The Islamic Republic of Iran, while providing the necessary measures to defend the nation and the country, remains determined to follow the path of diplomacy, but everything depends on the Americans, if they are seeking breakthrough in the negotiations, they must change their behavior.
He added: It is important for the Iranian nation that the US’s excessiveness and aggressive approach stop and that they follow the path of respecting the rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Iranian ambassador to Pakistan said: At the bilateral level, continuous communication between high-ranking officials and political, economic, and trade consultations continue with a special focus on increasing the volume of joint trade between Tehran and Islamabad.
He added: Pakistan is seeking to diversify its transit trade routes and is determined to develop regional cooperation with Iran in this area, and some steps have been taken.
Amiri Moghadam stated that Pakistan is seeking trade with the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia, for which the Iranian route is considered an ideal option, for which reason the Mirjaveh-Taftan and Gabd-Rimdan border crossings play an important role in developing bilateral trade and transit between Iran and Pakistan.
