ISLAMABAD – In a significant step to fortify strategic bilateral relations, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dauren Kosanov, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a pivotal meeting with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Defence, Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif, today in Islamabad.

The high-level discussion served as a robust reaffirmation of the enduring friendship and expanding defence partnership between the two nations. Both ministers expressed considerable satisfaction with the positive trajectory of existing defence cooperation and outlined a concrete vision for its future advancement.

Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif underscored Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to elevating the strategic defence and security partnership with Kazakhstan. He emphasized a multi-faceted approach centered on continuous high-level dialogue, enhanced training exchanges, and robust institutional linkages between the defence establishments of both countries.

The dialogue encompassed a comprehensive review of regional security dynamics and matters of mutual strategic interest. Both sides engaged in substantive discussions on identifying and capitalizing on new avenues to strengthen military-to-military engagements and broader defence collaboration.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Dauren Kosanov acknowledged Pakistan’s pivotal role in fostering regional peace and stability. He conveyed Kazakhstan’s keen interest in significantly expanding the scope of cooperation between the armed forces of the two brotherly nations.

The meeting culminated in a shared and resolute commitment to further deepen the bilateral defence relationship. Both dignitaries agreed to advance this crucial partnership underpinned by the principles of mutual trust, shared interests, and strategic cooperation.
