ISLAMABAD – The Embassy of the Republic of Korea successfully hosted “K-Wave Festa: Beauty, Beats and Beyond” at the Serena Hotel’s Shamadan Hall, a dynamic event underscoring the growing cultural convergence and strengthening bilateral relationship between Korea and Pakistan.

In his opening address, Mr. Park Jaelark, Charge d’Affaires of the Republic of Korea, reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to enhancing people-to-people connections. “Through diverse K-initiatives, we are building bridges of mutual understanding,” stated Mr. Park, citing the recently inaugurated Immersive Gallery at the Islamabad Museum as a testament to this ongoing cultural cooperation.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Sabino Sikandar Jalal, commended the Embassy’s efforts, highlighting the role of such events in fostering artistic exchange and deepening cross-cultural appreciation between the two nations.

The festival offered attendees an immersive cultural experience. A keynote session featured a K-Beauty Masterclass by renowned Korean makeup artist Hoskeok Jung, who demonstrated expert techniques on influencer Areeka Haq. Simultaneously, a high-energy K-Dance workshop led by Mr. Jay Kim engaged participants in popular K-pop choreography.

The hall buzzed with activity as guests explored interactive stalls offering traditional Korean food, Hanbok dress experiences, and samples of Korean skincare and cultural gifts, contributing to a vibrant and well-attended celebration of Korean culture in Pakistan.
