Indonesian Embassy Inaugurates Flag-Hoisting Team for 80th Independence Day Celebrations

The Indonesian Embassy's Flag-Hoisting Team (Paskibra) was officially inaugurated on 15 August 2025 by Ambassador Chandra W. Sukotjo.

Islamabad – The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Islamabad held an inauguration ceremony for its Flag-Hoisting Team (Paskibra) on Friday, 15 August 2025. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Ambassador Chandra W. Sukotjo, who officially inducted the young team entrusted with the honor of raising Indonesia’s national flag.

The Paskibra holds a place of pride in Indonesia’s Independence Day traditions, symbolizing discipline, unity, and the spirit of patriotism. Every year, selected youths are given the prestigious responsibility of carrying out the Flag-Hoisting Ceremony on 17 August, the central event marking the proclamation of Indonesia’s independence.

In his remarks, Ambassador Chandra W. Sukotjo highlighted the historical significance of the ceremony and underscored the importance of instilling a deep sense of nationalism and dedication among the younger generation. He praised the enthusiasm and commitment of the team members, encouraging them to uphold the values of integrity, responsibility, and excellence in representing the nation.
