Saudi rider Meshari Al-Harbi has won the top prize at the International Showjumping Tour Grand Prix, which ran in Jeddah from January 24 until February 10 and featured 160 riders and 200 horses from around the world.
Al-Harbi was handed the award by Saudi Equestrian Federation President (SAEF) Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah, and Arwa Al-Mutabagani, the head of the committee that organized the tour.
The SAEF president praised the “high-level” of organization of this international event, and emphasized Saudi Arabia’s role as host of international events.
Al-Mutabagani expressed pride in the fact that the tour gained international recognition and has achieved great success.
She expressed satisfaction with the well-organized tournament, for which special fields and jumping barriers had to be designed, and with the fact that international champions took part in it.
