Islamabad: Saudi Arabia’s Finance Minister, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, held a high-level meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his brief one-day visit to Islamabad, underscoring efforts to deepen longstanding bilateral ties.

The meeting at the Prime Minister House was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, reflecting the strategic importance of Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations.

Welcoming the Saudi delegation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his regards to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Mohammed bin Salman. He also recalled his recent telephonic interaction with the Crown Prince, describing it as warm and constructive.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s consistent economic and financial support, noting that it has played a crucial role in maintaining Pakistan’s economic stability. He emphasized the enduring brotherly relationship between the two nations, rooted in mutual trust and shared values.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation, the Prime Minister highlighted opportunities to expand collaboration in key sectors, particularly trade, investment, and economic development.

Finance Minister Al-Jadaan, in his remarks, thanked the Prime Minister for the warm reception and reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing its strategic partnership with Pakistan. He emphasized the Kingdom’s resolve to further deepen bilateral ties in line with the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The visit reflects ongoing efforts by both countries to translate their close political relations into stronger economic cooperation.
