DOHA: Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to continuing its mediation efforts and supporting all avenues of dialogue arising from the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

The remarks came during a meeting with US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, senior adviser and son-in-law to President Donald Trump, where the parties reviewed the latest developments in the ongoing US-Iran negotiations.

According to the ministry, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized Doha’s continued role in facilitating dialogue and promoting diplomatic solutions aimed at enhancing regional stability and reducing tensions.

The statement, however, did not disclose further details regarding the substance of the discussions or any specific outcomes from the meeting.

Qatar has long positioned itself as a key mediator in regional and international conflicts, maintaining channels of communication with various parties and supporting efforts to advance peaceful resolutions through diplomacy.
