Islamabad – His Excellency Mr. Ali Ardeshir Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House today during an official visit to Pakistan.
In warm and cordial discussions, both leaders affirmed their unwavering commitment to deepening the historic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Iran. Prime Minister Sharif underscored the importance of elevating bilateral cooperation across all spheres, with a particular focus on trade, energy, and security.

The meeting featured a substantive exchange on key regional and international developments, with both sides emphasizing the critical need for enhanced coordination to foster peace, stability, and economic connectivity in the region.
The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s sincere appreciation for Iran’s steadfast solidarity during challenging times and its principled stance on regional issues. In turn, Secretary Larijani conveyed the gratitude of the Iranian leadership and people for Pakistan’s resolute support and its constructive role in advocating for dialogue and diplomacy.
Prime Minister Sharif also requested Secretary Larijani to convey his profound respect and best wishes to His Eminence Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian, acknowledging their pivotal role in strengthening the Pakistan-Iran partnership.
To capitalize on the positive momentum, the two sides agreed to an early visit to Iran by a high-level delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. This visit will focus on advancing concrete collaboration in priority areas such as agriculture, transportation, and connectivity.
