Pakistan’s Fatima Jinnah Women University and Iran’s Al-Zahra University Ink Pact for Academic Collaboration, Cultural Exchange

Rawalpindi – In a landmark development aimed at strengthening academic and cultural ties between Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi, and Al-Zahra University (S), Tehran, signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in the fields of education, research, and culture.

Fatima Jinnah Women University, renowned for its commitment to women’s higher education in Pakistan, joined hands with Al-Zahra University — Iran’s leading institution exclusively dedicated to women’s education and one of the most respected universities in the country — to formalize a partnership that will focus on empowering women through mutual academic and research endeavors.

The MoU outlines several key areas of cooperation, including faculty and student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and the organization of academic conferences and seminars. Special emphasis will be placed on issues concerning women’s education, welfare, development, and empowerment. Through this partnership, both institutions aim to address global challenges faced by women by leveraging each other’s knowledge, expertise, and shared experiences.

The formal signing ceremony took place at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, where the Vice Chancellors of both universities hailed the agreement as a historic step forward in enhancing scholarly, cultural, and research collaboration between the two esteemed institutions. They expressed confidence that this agreement would serve as a platform for sustainable academic development and would deepen bilateral relations in the realm of higher education.
