Islamabad – His Excellency Dr. Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates, was received by His Excellency President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr earlier .
In his remarks, President Zardari underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its deep-rooted and brotherly ties with Egypt, bonds strengthened by a common faith and mutual understanding. He stated Pakistan’s anticipation to chart a more structured and forward-looking course for the relationship and extended his cordial greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Observing that the two nations are celebrating 77 years of diplomatic relations this year, the President voiced his optimism for enhancing collaborative efforts in trade, investment, and cultural linkages. He specifically encouraged increased Egyptian capital in high-potential sectors such as energy, logistics, construction, agriculture, mining, and information technology.
Foreign Minister Dr. Abdelatty relayed a communication from President El-Sisi and emphasized Egypt’s strong commitment to broadening its strategic partnership with Pakistan across diverse fields.
The discussions also featured a productive dialogue on pressing regional and global developments, with both sides reiterating their resolve to collaborate in pursuit of peace, stability, and shared prosperity.
The delegation-level meeting was attended by senior Pakistani officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. His Excellency the Ambassador of Egypt to Pakistan was also in attendance.
