- Deputy PM Ishaq Dar and Cambodian Counterpart Reaffirm Bilateral Partnership; Discuss Enhanced ASEAN Engagement
ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a meeting today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Her Excellency Ms. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The discussions centered on strengthening the bilateral relationship, with a specific focus on enhancing economic cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to work closely through the established Pakistan-Cambodia Joint Trade Committee (JTC) framework. This cooperation is set to expand significantly in the core areas of trade, investment, and joint economic initiatives.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar also underscored Pakistan’s active engagement with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast desire to further deepen its multifaceted cooperation with the regional bloc, highlighting ASEAN’s pivotal role in regional prosperity and stability.
The meeting signifies a mutual intent to translate diplomatic goodwill into tangible economic partnerships, building upon the foundation laid by the JTC mechanism.
