- Foreign Ministers Discuss Energy Security, Maritime Passage, and Diplomatic Engagement
ISLAMABAD — Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, to exchange views on the latest regional developments.
During the discussion, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister underscored the importance of uninterrupted energy supplies and the safe and expeditious passage of ships, particularly in light of their implications for developing countries and global supply chains. He emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means to ensure peace and stability in the region.
The two ministers agreed to maintain close cooperation and to meet on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.
