
Islamabad — Mr. Park Jae-lark, Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Korea, met today with Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, in Islamabad to discuss enhanced cooperation between the two countries in the fields of technology, human capital development, and industry-academia linkages.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment of both nations to deepen bilateral ties in the digital and innovation sectors. Minister Shaza Fatima reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to nurturing a globally competitive workforce through advanced training initiatives and international partnerships.
“We are investing in skill development to ensure our youth are equipped to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving digital world,” the Minister stated, highlighting the potential of strategic collaboration with Korean institutions to support innovation and technical education.
Mr. Park praised the Minister’s forward-looking approach and expressed Korea’s readiness to cooperate in emerging technologies, research, and capacity-building programs. He emphasized that strengthened partnerships in these areas would not only foster mutual economic progress but also pave the way for sustainable development.
Both sides agreed to explore concrete initiatives that could translate this shared vision into actionable projects, benefitting the people and economies of both Pakistan and South Korea.
