DOHA: Yemen’s Houthi movement, Ansar Allah, has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting oil and gas facilities, airports and military installations across Saudi Arabia over the past 48 hours, according to the group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree.

In a statement published on his Telegram channel, Saree claimed that the group’s forces had carried out six military operations involving ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

According to the spokesman, the reported targets included Saudi Aramco facilities in Yanbu, western Saudi Arabia, and the Shaybah oil field in the eastern part of the kingdom. He claimed that fires broke out at the sites following the strikes.

The Houthi movement also claimed to have targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Abha Airport and an airbase in Khamis Mushait in southern Saudi Arabia. Additional alleged targets included a naval camp and radar installations.

The claims have not been independently verified, and further details regarding the extent of the damage, possible casualties and the impact on oil and gas operations were not provided in the statement.

The reported attacks underscore continuing security concerns surrounding Saudi Arabia’s critical energy infrastructure, aviation facilities and military installations amid persistent regional tensions.
