- Hundreds of Passports, Fake Police Uniforms, Weapons Recovered in Major Crackdown
Islamabad – In a significant crackdown on organized crime, the Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) in Karachi, under the effective supervision of Deputy Director Muhammad Ajmal, has dismantled a major human trafficking network responsible for defrauding citizens through fraudulent overseas employment and visa schemes.
During a meticulously planned intelligence-led operation, FIA teams arrested seven key members of the syndicate and recovered substantial incriminating evidence, including hundreds of Pakistani passports, modern firearms, police uniforms, laptops, and other digital and documentary records.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the network allegedly extorted between PKR 800,000 and PKR 1 million per victim, promising foreign employment opportunities but failing to deliver any legitimate visas. Victims who sought refunds were reportedly subjected to intimidation by operatives posing as law enforcement personnel in counterfeit police attire.
To date, 52 victims have been identified, and investigative efforts are ongoing to trace additional affected individuals, map financial trails, and apprehend all facilitators connected to the ring.
Deputy Director Muhammad Ajmal’s strategic direction and operational oversight have been instrumental in this breakthrough, reflecting the FIA’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding citizens from transnational fraudulent networks and reinforcing the rule of law.
The FIA reiterates its resolve to continue aggressive enforcement actions against human smuggling and visa fraud, ensuring that perpetrators are held fully accountable under the law.
