ISLAMABAD – The capital city was bathed in a spirit of diplomatic camaraderie and historical reflection as the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) marked its 42nd anniversary with a prestigious reception hosted by its dynamic Representative, H.E Ms. Buket Kop.
The event, held on 14 November 2025 at Marriot Hotel Islamabad , was more than a ceremonial gathering; it was a powerful testament to the TRNC’s four-decade-long journey of freedom, sovereignty, and the unwavering pursuit of self-determination. The air was thick with a sense of shared history and future aspirations as distinguished guests from diplomatic and political spheres converged to offer their solidarity.

The presence of Ambassador of Türkiye, Dr. Irfan Neziroğlu, underscored the profound and unbreakable bond between Ankara and Northern Cyprus. From Pakistan’s side senior politicians of ruling party and , Mr. Naeem Cheema, a senior official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented the enduring and brotherly relations between Pakistan and the TRNC.
The guest list was a veritable who’s who of the diplomatic community, with numerous other ambassadors and high-ranking officials in attendance, reflecting the TRNC’s active engagement on the international stage.
