DUBAI: Reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to sustainable urban development, family wellbeing and high-quality community living, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Grandiose Supermarket to explore opportunities to bring essential retail services and consumer goods closer to residents of its residential communities.

The partnership reflects Dubai’s forward-looking approach to housing development, which places residents’ convenience, quality of life and access to essential services at the heart of community planning. By strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors, the initiative aims to explore practical solutions that can make everyday living more convenient for families while supporting the long-term sustainability of residential neighbourhoods.

Strategic Partnership to Enhance Residents’ Quality of Life

The MoU was signed at MBRHE’s headquarters in Dubai in the presence of Mohammed Hassan Al Shehhi, Chief Executive Officer of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, and Ghassan Aboud, Chairman of Ghassan Aboud Holding.

Noura Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Assistant Chief Executive Officer for the Housing Sector, signed the agreement on behalf of MBRHE, while Ahmed Aboud, Chief Financial Officer at Ghassan Aboud Holding, signed on behalf of Grandiose Supermarket.

The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation, enabling both parties to explore ways to utilise Grandiose’s retail expertise to provide products and services that address the daily needs of residents across MBRHE’s residential communities.

The initiative will also assess potential future investment opportunities, subject to the applicable laws and procedures governing MBRHE, with the broader objective of supporting sustainable development in Dubai’s housing sector.

Public-Private Collaboration at the Heart of Dubai’s Development Vision

Commenting on the agreement, Noura Mohammed Al Rumaithi emphasised MBRHE’s commitment to building integrated residential communities through partnerships that respond to residents’ evolving needs and enhance the services available to them.

“At the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, we are committed to strengthening the foundations of integrated residential communities by assessing residents’ needs and building partnerships that contribute to improving the services available to them. This MoU provides an opportunity to explore cooperation with Grandiose and draw on its retail expertise to help make daily essentials available close to residents’ homes, enhancing families’ convenience and quality of life,” she said.

The partnership demonstrates the value of collaboration between government institutions and private-sector businesses in developing resident-focused services. By exploring the integration of essential retail facilities into residential communities, MBRHE aims to support a more convenient living environment while creating opportunities for further private-sector participation in community development.

Building Sustainable and Resident-Focused Communities

The MoU forms part of MBRHE’s wider efforts to expand strategic partnerships with private-sector organisations and explore new opportunities to improve services and facilities within its residential communities.

As Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a global model for urban development and quality living, initiatives that connect housing with everyday services underscore the importance of creating communities that are not only well-planned but also practical, accessible and responsive to residents’ needs.

Through this collaboration, MBRHE and Grandiose Supermarket will explore opportunities to make daily necessities more accessible, enhance family convenience and contribute to the continued development of sustainable residential communities across Dubai.

The initiative further reflects Dubai’s emphasis on people-centred development, effective public-private partnerships and a high standard of living—key elements in its ongoing ambition to create vibrant, sustainable and inclusive communities for residents.
