- Presidential delegation conveys condolences to Nepalese Ambassador Rita Dhital; reaffirms Pakistan’s support during the country’s deepening humanitarian crisis
ISLAMABAD: On the instructions of President Asif Ali Zardari, former Chairman of the Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari and President’s Spokesperson Murtaza Solangi visited the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad to convey the President’s and the people of Pakistan’s deepest condolences over the loss of life and widespread devastation caused by last week’s catastrophic floods and landslides.

The disaster, triggered by severe flooding, landslides and the bursting of a glacier along the China-Nepal border, has caused extensive loss of life and destruction across affected areas, leaving thousands of people missing and communities facing a serious humanitarian emergency.
Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Nepal
Nepal’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Rita Dhital, received the delegation at the embassy and expressed her appreciation for the solidarity and support extended by the Government and people of Pakistan to Nepal during this difficult period.
The visit reflected the longstanding bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Nepal and underscored Islamabad’s support for the people of Nepal as they cope with the consequences of the devastating natural disaster.
Messages of Condolence Recorded
During the visit, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari and Murtaza Solangi also recorded messages of condolence and solidarity in the Embassy’s Visitors’ Book.
The messages conveyed Pakistan’s sympathy to the families who have lost loved ones and expressed solidarity with the people of Nepal as rescue, relief and recovery efforts continue in the disaster-hit areas.
