DUBAI: Iran has urged Qatar to intensify efforts to determine the fate of Iranian pilots who went missing after their aircraft were shot down upon entering Qatari airspace, Iranian state media reported.
Tehran said Qatari authorities had informed Iran that they were unaware of the pilots’ whereabouts or current status.
Tehran Seeks Clarification Through Diplomatic Channels
Iran said it had pursued the matter through both diplomatic and military channels but had yet to receive a clear explanation from Doha regarding the pilots’ fate.
Tehran has called on Qatar to step up efforts to locate the missing personnel and provide information about their status.
The development comes amid heightened regional tensions, with the incident adding to concerns over the security of military and civilian airspace in the Gulf.
