ISLAMABAD: The National Day of the Portuguese Republic was celebrated with great enthusiasm and diplomatic warmth at a reception held at the Islamabad Serena Hotel on 16 June 2026, bringing together senior government officials, diplomats and prominent dignitaries.

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Ch. Salik Hussain, attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while the event was also graced by several high-ranking officials, including Ministers Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, and Barrister Aqeel, along with Governor Sindh Nehal Hashmi.
