Houston – The newly-designated Darkhana at the Ismaili Center, Houston, welcomed its first congregation on 9th November 2025 in a momentous occasion, as Prince Raheem Agha Khan (Mawlana Hazar Imam) graced the region’s youth with a special mulaqat.

Prince Raheem Agha Khan (Mawlana Hazar Imam) graciously granted a third didar, completing his visits with the Southwest USA Jamat. In a spirit of reflection and joy, the event marked a significant milestone in the spiritual life of the community.

To commemorate this historic mulaqat, postsecondary students from across the United States collaborated on an innovative art installation titled “Faces of the Future.” This interactive piece represents hundreds of universities and colleges where Ismaili students are enrolled, symbolizing the community’s diversity, unity, and enduring commitment to education and service. The artwork highlights how Ismaili youth are shaping a brighter, more compassionate future through their individual contributions.

Prince Raheem Agha Khan (Hazar Imam) met with institutional leaders from across the United States, offering guidance on strategic priorities and ongoing initiatives that support the Jamat’s development and well-being.

The past few days have been filled with deep emotion, joy, and renewal, as murids from the Southwestern jurisdiction reaffirmed their bayʿa and strengthened their spiritual bond with their Imam.

Prince Raheem Agha Khan (Hazar Imam) is expected to travel to Dallas, where he will meet with the Central USA Jamat, continuing this historic journey of unity, inspiration, and grace.
