ISLAMABAD – H.E. Mr. Akamatsu Shuichi, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, has extended his warmest felicitations to the Government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day, celebrated on August 14.
In a special video message, Ambassador Akamatsu said, “My dear Pakistani friends, heartiest congratulations to all of you on Pakistan’s Independence Day. Japan stands side by side with you for a strong and prosperous Pakistan. Happy Independence Day to all of you. Long Live Japan–Pakistan Friendship.”

To mark this joyous occasion, the Japanese and Pakistani staff of the Embassy of Japan joined together in singing the iconic national song of Pakistan, “Jeevay Jeevay Pakistan,” as a gesture of solidarity and heartfelt celebration. The performance reflected the enduring friendship and goodwill between the two nations, highlighting shared aspirations for peace, prosperity, and stronger bilateral ties.
