ISLAMABAD – The attack on a motorcade of foreign diplomats in Pakistan’s Swat district (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province) will not have a negative impact on the development of growing Russian-Pakistani cooperation, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev told a TASS correspondent.

“I am confident that this attack will not have a negative impact on the development of the growing Russian-Pakistani cooperation,” he said. “What happened once again underlines the need for further intensification of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the participation of Russia and Pakistan on the anti-terrorist track.”

On September 22, a convoy of foreign diplomats, including the Russian ambassador, was attacked in the Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The delegation’s escort vehicle was disabled by an improvised explosive device. One policeman was killed. No diplomatic personnel were harmed
