Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar

On May 20, 2024, in Astana, as part of a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member countries, a bilateral meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

​During the conversation, Zh. Kulubaev once again congratulated Muhammad Ishaq Dar on his appointment to the post of head of the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan as a result of the general parliamentary elections to the Pakistan on February 8, 2024.

​The parties discussed the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of trade, investment, textile industry, tourism, education, healthcare and other areas, paying special attention to intensifying issues of economic diplomacy, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries, as well as exchange of visits at the highest and highest levels.

​The parties noted the important role of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Pakistan Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and the interaction of the two countries on the subregional energy project “CASA-1000”.  

​As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to direct efforts to increase the dynamics of mutual visits and strengthen interaction between the business circles of the two countries.

The parties decided to hold consultations in the near future between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on political issues, as well as in the consular and legal sphere.
