Iran FM meets with Kuwaiti lawmaker talks diplomacy Palestine

Marzouq Al-Hubaini the head of the parliamentary friendship group of Kuwait and Iran who is in Iran at the head of a parliamentary delegation met with Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian and discussed regional issues as well as bilateral cooperation.

In this meeting, the Iranian foreign minister considered it important that the parliaments of the two countries give priority to the bilateral ties.

Amirabdollahian further praised the position and role of the Kuwaiti parliament and government in supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation.

Evaluating the current developments and events in Gaza, the top Iranian diplomat pointed to the continuation of the Zionist regime’s criminal actions in killing women, children, and the defenseless people of Palestine.

He stated: “Although the Zionist enemy has destroyed Gaza on a large scale and martyred tens of thousands of people, it has not achieved any of its goals. So, it tries to compensate for its failure by resorting to blind terrorist actions.”

The head of the Kuwait-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group also stated in this meeting: “The expansion of parliamentary and popular relations between the two countries is the strongest foundation for the continuation and expansion of bilateral relations, so our first priority has been the promotion of parliamentary friendship relations with the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

 Marzouq Al-Hubaini said promoting bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran is it important and a priority for the Kuwaiti government and added: “As a Muslim and Arab country, we respect the principled positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in defending the rights of the people and supporting the cause of Palestine.”

Ebrahim Rezaei, the representative of the people of Dashtestan and the head of the Iran-Kuwait Parliamentary Friendship Group, was also present in this meeting.
